The world’s largest financial services out-sourcing company sought to counter competition from other providers and attain rapid revenue growth by expanding their offering to Cards and Payments providers globally.
Attracted by our product and market expertise across the Cards product spectrum, the client engaged BankT&D Consulting to do an in-depth evaluation of the end-to-end Cards business value chain across all products. Topics covered included Customer acquisition and on-boarding, Underwriting and Risk management, Customer Service, Analytics and Revenue management, Fraud management, Settlement, Chargebacks & Interchange management.
Wide geographic market scans were conducted to establish competitive intensity and regulatory considerations. This analysis was then mapped to the client’s strategy and capability to identify new business opportunities using our proprietary new product development methodology.
We identified and prospect client validated seven new business opportunities each in excess of $25M p.a. in revenues, across Consumer Cards Issuing, Merchant Acquiring, e-Commerce and Mobile Payments.
A ‘build vs. buy’ analysis was also undertaken to identify resources and investment requirements. An implementation blueprint was designed including sales collateral and staff training material for the new lines of business.
